Ashlee Coffman: Exceeding All Expectations

Ashlee Coffman joined Best Buddies her freshman year at Corona del Sol High School. Since then she continues to participate as Best Buddies Arizona Buddy Ambassador, a role she has held since 2009. Her a sweet, caring demeanor, and steadfast determination to overcome any and every obstacle. This makes her an inspiration to all!

Throughout the years, Ms. Coffman has truly exceeded all expectations set to her by doctors, teachers and coaches, often times setting her own even higher expectations for herself. After she graduated from high school she began classes at Chandler Gilbert Community College—an experience she was told she would never have.

Always an advocate, she stood up for herself and became a member of the swim team, integrated into general education classes and found strength in herself when other’s tried to take advantage of her weaknesses.

With a permanent smile and positive attitude Ms. Coffman tackles her current goals of earning a degree in marine biology while enjoying some of her favorite activities like swimming, reading, writing, bowling and seeing movies. She keeps in close contact with both of her Peer Buddies from high school, Natalie and Katie.

In 2010, Ashlee Coffman was selected as the recipient of the “For Those Without a Voice Inspiration Award” at the Best Buddies Arizona Friendship Gala: Brazilian Carnival.

Now, Ms. Coffman continues her participation in Best Buddies at the Arizona State University Chapter. Here she continues to make friends, where her peers see her as the individual she is, a talented and charismatic individual that is still blossoming.

Ashlee Coffman will be the main stage speaker in the upcoming Best Buddies Challenge: Hyannis Port. We hope to see you there!
