Boston, May 19, 2015 Best Buddies International, a nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for friendship, employment and leadership training for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is pleased to announce that the 16th Annual Best Buddies Challenge: Hyannis Port, will take place on May 29 – 30. More than 2,000 people are expected to participate in the Challenge – a charity walk, run and ride to benefit Best Buddies InternationalTom Brady, New England Patriots Quarterback and Best Buddies Global Ambassador, will serve as Honorary Co-Chair and lead Team Tom Brady to the finish line. Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri and Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy III will join Brady as the event’s Honorary Co-Chairs. John Hailer, President & CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management for the Americas & Asia, has committed to serve as the Event Chair. Fifth Annual Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Washington, D.C. Raises Close To $2.5 Million For Best Buddies International

WASHINGTON, Oct.19, 2014 – Close to 1,500 people took part in the Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Washington, D.C. – a charity walk, run and ride chaired by Scott Keogh, President of Audi of America, on Saturday, October 18. The Challenge raised close to $2.5 million in total donations for Best Buddies International, a nonprofit dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The Challenge weekend kicked-off with a 25th Anniversary VIP reception on Friday, October 17, at Georgetown University where the organization first began. Challenge Honorary Co-Chair Ted Leonsis and Coach of the NHL Washington Capitals Barry Trotz, and Best Buddies Founder and Chairman Anthony K. Shriver – attended the cocktail reception, along with dozens of top supporters and Best Buddies participants. Read More…

Challenge Yourself to Change Lives at the Fifth Annual Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Washington, D.C.


WASHINGTON, Oct. 10, 2014  — Best Buddies International, a nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for friendship, employment and leadership training for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is pleased to announce that Scott Keogh, President of Audi of America, will serve as Chairman of the Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Washington, D.C. Nearly fifteen-five hundred people are expected to participate in the Challenge – a charity walk, run and ride to benefit Best Buddies International – on October 17.

Ted Leonsis, CEO of Monumental Sports and owner of the Washington Capitals, Washington Mystics and Washington Wizards, and his wife, Lynn Leonsis, will serve as Honorary Chairs of the event along with Best Buddies participant Ken Holden.
