Bloomington, IN (July 22, 2015) – Over 2,100 student leaders, volunteers, and staff from Best Buddies International Website programs around the world participated in the 26th Annual Best Buddies International Leadership Conference: I’M IN presented by C.A. Hartnell, July 17-20 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The weekend offered attendees new ideas to share with their chapters’ back home, networking opportunities, and most importantly, lasting friendships.

Fifth Annual Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Washington, D.C. Raises Close To $2.5 Million For Best Buddies International

WASHINGTON, Oct.19, 2014 – Close to 1,500 people took part in the Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Washington, D.C. – a charity walk, run and ride chaired by Scott Keogh, President of Audi of America, on Saturday, October 18. The Challenge raised close to $2.5 million in total donations for Best Buddies International, a nonprofit dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The Challenge weekend kicked-off with a 25th Anniversary VIP reception on Friday, October 17, at Georgetown University where the organization first began. Challenge Honorary Co-Chair Ted Leonsis and Coach of the NHL Washington Capitals Barry Trotz, and Best Buddies Founder and Chairman Anthony K. HartnellJuly 25-28 at Indiana University in Bloomington.

Best Buddies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Dear Friends,

Happy Holidays! I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible accomplishments of Best Buddies’ mission this year, and thank you for your support as we change the world for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Best Buddies had an amazing year, impacting more than 800,000 individuals with and without IDD and supporting nearly 700 job placements around the world. We hosted 1,750 participants at our annual student Leadership Conference, including our largest class of Buddy Ambassadors ever. Our national events, including the Miami Gala and the Best Buddies Challenges, were our largest and most successful to date. Read More…

17th Annual Best Buddies Miami Gala Raises $3 Million for Best Buddies International

MIAMI, November 24, 2013 – Nine-hundred people attended the  17th Annual Best Buddies Miami Gala, Honoring Carlos Slim Helú at The Fontainebleau Miami Beach on Friday, November 22. The star-studded event raised $3 million in total donations for Best Buddies International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The evening’s festivities included a fabulous cocktail hour, gourmet dinner, unique live and silent auctions, and a live performance by special musical guest Sean Paul.
