Cristen M. Celebrates 15 Years of Employment at Holland & Knight

Cristen 15 Years at Holland & Knight

(transcript of the email below)

I wanted to share this great e-mail that was sent to the employees at Holland & Knight’s Boston office. Cristen M. has been employed with Holland & Knight for 15 years! Not many individuals or companies can say they’ve had this kind of positive long-term experience in the workplace.

Companies like Holland & Knight are stepping up to the plate by making the choice to hire people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and in turn finding that they have included talented, dependable and loyal workers like Cristen.

Employment is such an important part of life, bringing adults closer to financial and social independence; however, compared to the rest of the population, people with IDD have not had the same opportunities to be employed. This must change across the country.  I hope that more business will take Holland & Knight’s lead and commit to hiring and including people with IDD in their place of business.

If you’re still in doubt after reading this, I invite you to visit www.imintohire.org and download the report created by the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp), a leading research firm that discovers high-performance business practices, which provides compelling data and inspiring success stories to showcase this talented pool of workers that are exceeding expectations in driving business results from companies that are household names.

Congratulations on your 15 years of employment, Cristen! Proud of you and your accomplishment.

Congratulations to Cristen M, who celebrates 15 years of employment with us on Sunday, October 12th! Cristen was our first Best Buddies employee and has done a terrific job representing Best Buddies within Holland & Knight. Our relationship with best Buddies has expanded a lot over the years and that is due, in part, to the wonderful experience we have had with Cristen in Boston.

As you know, she works with the records management team, and she can still say after 15 years that she has never made an inputting mistake! That is a remarkable accomplishment! We have enjoyed having Cristen with us and look forward to many more years together.

Cristen will receive a Certificate of Recognition including a catalog from which she can choose a gift to honor her milestone anniversary. Please join us in congratulating Cristen for her reliability and support for 15 years!
